Affirmation: Time is my friend.
Overwhelm is not a pleasant condition. The to-do list overflows, the deadlines appear imminent and immovable. There are too many demands upon too little of your time. Does this sound familiar?
Truly, there is nothing you must do. Stop. Breathe deeply and slowly. Choose to put your own inner peace first. Then choose to work on what is most important to you, rather than that which appears most urgent.

Time, like life itself, has no inherent meaning
How do you want to be remembered?
Many of us have no option but to accept the demands and to-do lists of our lives. However, if we stop to examine these demands and learn to recognize the "silver lining" in them, our stress levels will adjust dramatically. Instead of allowing your demanding job to overwhelm you, welcome its challenges by realizing that, today, a thousand people would gladly take your place. Stop whining about having to mow/rake the lawn this weekend......many have lost their homes. Slow down a little as you prepare dinner for your family and realize how fortunate you are to be able to put food on the table...AND...to enjoy it with others. Somehow, we have managed to turn our blessings into burdens. I stopped complaining about how hard my husband and I had to work to pay for our son's education when a friend said, "I hope I have that problem someday". If we start viewing the demands of our lives in a different light, perhaps we will not feel so overwhelmed!
