Choose to See the Beauty in Life
Even those things which seem out of reach of our choice
are governed by how we choose to perceive them.
- Mary Anne Radmacher
Much in life can be seen as ugly or beautiful - it's our choice.
Why would we choose to see any part of life as ugly?
- Jonathan Lockwood Huie
There is nothing true anywhere,
The true is nowhere to be seen;
If you say you see the true,
This seeing is not the true one.
- Abraham Lincoln paraphrasing Lao Tzu's Tao te Ching
Seeing the light is a choice, not seeing the light is no choice.
- Douglas Horton

by changing how you see.

Those who are highly evolved,
maintain an undiscriminating perception.
Seeing everything, labeling nothing,
they maintain their awareness of the Great Oneness.
Thus they are supported by it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - anonymous quote
- Anonymous
The bird in the photo is a Brown Pelican. Few people would describe the Brown Pelican as either a beautiful bird or a graceful flier. And it is not a delicate eater. When it spies a fish, it partially folds its wings and plunges almost straight down, impacting the water with a giant splash as it nets the fish in its neck pouch. Yet we, especially children, find pelicans lovable and endearing.
How many of us look in the mirror and dislike what we see? Suppose we could be as accepting of ourselves as we are of nature's other creations.
