If the world had disappeared and we were left to observe one butterfly, we would marvel at what a miracle and mystery we had taken for granted during our lifetime. A tiny egg produces an unassuming caterpillar. That is the first miracle. The caterpillar enters a stage of darkness (cocoon. That is the second miracle. It emerges transformed into a totally different creature, more beautiful and fragile than before and with the ability to fly. That is the third miracle. If we placed no limits on what we can achieve when we go through a period of darkness in our life, what transformational miracle could we achieve for ourselves.
